The Pre Pruner- Colombardo

It is fully adjustable and is not limited by the height of your fruiting wire.

The machine prunes the lignified canes to the desired length as a pre-cursor to the finishing of cane pruning and laying, reducing the ‘stripping out’ content of the manual process.

The machine also can complete most of the work for a spur pruned block leaving only the tidying up of the shoots and cordon.

Specifications

• The Pre-Pruner consists of 9 sets of cutting discs on hydraulic driven columns. The working capacity can be increased/decreased by adding/removing discs or changing disc spacing. The working capacity can range from 50-100cm.
  
  
• Hydraulic block equipped with valves and flow divider
  
  
• Electrical control for the opening of emergency safety cages
  
  
• Adjustment of lateral positioning (mechanical translation)
  
  
• Special support chassis with hydraulic movements: lifting and inclination (possibility to apply cutting and defoliator units)
  
  
• The Pre-pruner’s hydraulics can be used independently of the tractor with a hydraulic power pack on the rear 3-point linkage, driven by the PTO.
